Company History

The Rhoe B Henderson Agency was started by Rhoe B Henderson in 1926 in Jamestown, New York. Rhoe was with the agency from that time until his retirement in 1957. Rhoe B Henderson, Jr. joined the agency in 1941 and retired in 1979. In 1971 Rhoe B Henderson III began his insurance career by joining the agency and is currently it’s President.

In 2002 the agency merged with the Rowley-Smith agency and Gregory Smith became the vice president of the Rhoe B Henderson Agency. The Rowley-Smith agency was started in 1916 by Greg’s grandfather and continued by his father until retirement in 1981. Greg joined the agency in 1975. This merger brought life insurance into the agency product mix.

The agency currently sells all types of personal insurance including auto, home, landlord, recreational vehicle and umbrella liability. All forms of commercial property and casualty insurance are carried.
